R2S were engaged as the lead evaluator and negotiator for the LNG plant maintenance contract which included a combination of fixed-price, schedule of rates, and reimbursable, including a reduction of plant and equipment rates aligned with capital right-downs to ensure the client benefitted from tax advantages experienced by the supplier. The services were procured via sole source negotiations due to the technical nature of the services and the requirement to have it performed by the OEM organisation. Negotiated savings from submitted offer to contracted offer were ~10% resulting in a multi-million dollars saving to the client.
