Santos Ltd engaged R2S to plan and implement operational contracts during Santos’ transition from construction phase to operational phase on their upstream (coal seam gas exploration and production) and downstream (LNG processing and export) business units on their $18.5 Billion GLNG project. The objective of this engagement was to deliver end to end procurement processes, seek approval, plan and run tendering activities, and negotiate and award contracts for >$500 million worth of goods and services over a 12-month period. The packages ranged from general goods and services, to highly complex multi-currency high-value high-risk agreements. R2S team consisted of specialist project management and procurement resources (L1-L4 equivalent) to deliver this engagement and complete the scope on time, in budget, and with the benefit of $50M in negotiated savings to the client.
